The goal of this NCCP Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) Workshop is to expose participants to a process that will teach and improve fundamental movement skills for children. The 3-hour Coach Professional Development Workshop focuses solely on the identification and improvement of fundamental movement skills that are the foundation of solid sport specific skills. The workshop format offers participants many opportunities to assess and improve their analysis of fundamental movement skills.
The Workshop is part of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), a training and certification program offered in over 66 sports in Canada. More than 1,000,000 coaches and sport leaders have taken part in training, education, and certification activities offered by the NCCP since its inception in 1974. The National Coaching Certification Program is a collaborative program of the government of Canada, provincial/territorial governments, national/provincial/territorial sport organizations, and the Coaching Association of Canada.
